Switchover companion apps - Support

Each of these is a small Mac menu bar app that restores one Windows habit. For help with any of them, email support@roleo.com.au and say which app, your macOS version, what you pressed or clicked, and what happened. Every app has its own page — see all seven apps. Switchover Mouse

What it does: Switchover Mouse →

Turn on a feature (reverse scrolling, middle-click, back/forward) in the menu bar icon's menu. The first time, a dialog explains the Accessibility permission it needs; click Open System Settings and turn on Switchover Mouse under Privacy & Security ▸ Accessibility. If a feature stops working, check that switch is still on.

Switchover Stats on the Mac App Store

Open it once and it lives in your menu bar. Click the menu bar icon for live CPU, memory, network and battery figures, or press Ctrl+Alt+Shift+Esc from any app to open the Task Manager window. No permission is ever needed. If a process won't force quit, it is probably a background helper rather than a visible app — Switchover Stats only force-quits your own visible apps, for safety.

Switchover Snip

What it does: Switchover Snip →

Trigger a snip from the menu bar or its shortcut. The first time, macOS asks for access; grant it under Privacy & Security ▸ Screen & System Audio Recording, then try again. If access was declined before, Continue opens that pane directly. Some macOS versions ask you to quit and reopen the app after enabling it. "Copy Text" needs enough visible text in the capture to recognise.

Switchover Taskbar

What it does: Switchover Taskbar →

The taskbar appears automatically along the bottom of the screen with one button per running app. Click an app to bring it forward, right-click to quit it, and use the left button to open Launchpad. No protected permission is required.

Switchover Expand

What it does: Switchover Expand →

Turn on expansion from the menu bar icon. The first time, grant Accessibility under Privacy & Security ▸ Accessibility. If a snippet won't expand, check you're not in a password field (expansion is disabled there on purpose) and that the abbreviation is typed exactly as saved.

Press Control+Option+/ in any app — no setup or protected permission is needed. If shortcuts for an app aren't listed, that app isn't yet in the bundled list of 20; email us and we'll consider adding it.
