Terms of use

These terms cover the Switchover family of macOS applications (Switchover, Switchover Stats, Switchover Mouse, Switchover Snip, Switchover Taskbar, Switchover Expand and Switchover Cheat Sheet) and this website at switchover-mac.pages.dev. By installing an app or using this site, you agree to them.

The apps are published by Thanujan Sathiyamoorthy, an independent developer in New South Wales, Australia ("we", "us"). ABN 37 440 392 838. Contact: support@roleo.com.au.

Your licence to use the apps

Each app is distributed through the Mac App Store and your use of it is governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement, together with these terms. Where the two conflict on a point Apple's agreement covers, Apple's agreement prevails.

You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the apps on devices you own or control. You may not:

• copy, redistribute, resell, rent or sublicense an app;
• reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble an app, except to the extent that law expressly permits despite this restriction;
• remove or obscure any copyright, trade mark or attribution notice;
• use an app to break the law, or to interfere with anyone else's systems or data.

Intellectual property

The apps, their source code, names, icons, user interface designs, documentation, screenshots, promotional images, videos and the written content of this website are © 2026 Thanujan Sathiyamoorthy. All rights reserved. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership of any of it to you.

You may quote short extracts from this site with attribution and a link. You may not:

• reproduce or republish substantial parts of this site, or of any app's content, without written permission;
• scrape, crawl, harvest or bulk-download this site by automated means, other than a search engine indexing it normally in accordance with our robots.txt;
• use our names, icons or screenshots in a way that suggests we endorse or are affiliated with your product;
• publish an app, listing, page or store entry that imitates ours, or that passes our materials off as your own.

We take copying seriously and will pursue it with the relevant app store, directory, host or registrar.

Privacy

None of the apps have network access, none collect data, and none contain analytics or third-party SDKs. What each app stores locally, and which macOS permission it needs and why, is set out in the privacy policy and on each app's page.

This website

This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. We do not set analytics cookies or advertising cookies, and we do not run a tracking script. Our host processes standard request logs for security and delivery, as any web host does.

The site links to third-party sites, including the Mac App Store and YouTube. We are not responsible for their content or their practices, and their own terms apply when you visit them. A YouTube video embedded here uses youtube-nocookie.com, which does not set tracking cookies until you play the video.

No warranty

The apps and this site are provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind about them, including that they will be uninterrupted, error free, or fit for a particular purpose.

Some of the apps act on your files and your running processes. Switchover asks Finder to move files you cut; Switchover Stats can force quit an app you select, which discards that app's unsaved work; Switchover Snip writes image files where you tell it to. Use them with the same care you would use for the equivalent built-in macOS commands, and keep backups of anything you cannot afford to lose.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profit or revenue, arising from your use of the apps or this site.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where our liability can be limited but not excluded, it is limited to re-supplying the app or paying the cost of re-supply.

Changes

We may update these terms as the apps change. The date at the top shows when they were last revised. Continuing to use an app or this site after a change means you accept the revised terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and you and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
